In 2021/22, the Hong Kong LGBT Medical Society (the Society) conducted a comprehensive needs assessment for promoting LGBTQ health and well-being in Hong Kong.

The questions explored included:

• What is LGBTQ Health and Well-being? Why does it matter? How do we promote it in Hong Kong?

• What are the health disparities between LGBTQ+ community and the general public? What are the underlying factors?

• What are the policy recommendations and research gaps?

We thank all healthcare workers and community partners who participated.

Results of this needs assessment have been presented in academic events, and enriched the Society’s sharing sessions at healthcare facilities and universities.
